Welcome, Matt Livigni, author Journey Bread!

GOD IS AWESOME
by Matt Livigni

11 Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders. 12 In a loud voice they were saying:

“Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength
and honor and glory and praise!”

~Revelation 5:11-12

I went to a Carrie Underwood concert last month with my wife Paula and a few close friends. At one point in the concert at the end of one of her songs she broke into the most incredible version of the old Gospel hymn How Great Thou Art that I have ever heard. The passion and love in her voice as she worshiped God openly in front of thousands of people brought tears to my eyes as I saw the greatness of God for just a moment through the obedience of one of His incredible Saints!

If one broken soul that is being renewed each day by our Heavenly Father can arouse so much emotion in me by singing for just a moment about the Glory of God then I can’t even begin to comprehend what it would be like to see 100 million angels doing the same.

Listen, the power and love and Glory and greatness of the God that you and I serve this morning is so incredibly awesome and if you could tap into just a small glimpse of the love that is available to you through the Risen Savior then I am convinced that you can face any circumstance and can overcome any obstacle that faces you this morning as that same power that raised Jesus Christ from the grave is alive and active in your heart of hearts this morning if indeed you have accepted this incredible gift of Jesus Christ into the way that you live your life today.

Be encouraged and keep your eyes on Jesus today as His love and power will carry you through and will help you to patiently endure and to overcome as you journey to know and love Him more.

Author and Business Professional Matt Livigni has 20 successful years of Sales and Management experience in the Tire Industry. He graduated from Montreat College Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. He resides in Uptown Charlotte, NC with his wife Paula, two dogs and a bird.

It wasn’t until Journey Bread author and successful Businessman Matt Livigni was in the middle of completing his B.A. degree later on in life that he discovered God’s purpose for his life and his gift and love of writing. You see, Matt had enrolled in the Adult Studies Program at Montreat College in Charlotte, NC in an effort to advance his career but in the process discovered how climbing the corporate ladder of success was not the most important thing in life. Shortly after he graduated Magna Cum Ladde from Montreat College with a Bachelors degree in Business, he began writing Journey Bread devotions each morning for his church in Huntersville, NC. As time went on more people were added to the email list: friends, family, colleagues, and business associates.
Today it is hard to say how many thousands of people from all walks of life are encouraged, inspired and challenged in their personal journey to become more like Christ through Journey Bread.

The second Journey Bread book is scheduled to be released by Tate Publishing in 2011.

  3. The first time I heard Carrie Underwood sing that song on the radio, it brought tears to my eyes. I can't imagine how powerful it was in person. Kind of like those angels around the throne Thanks for this post. I love the analogy and the way you summed it up with encouragement and God's awesome love.
