A Mother for His Family by Susanne Dietze! An Inkwell Release Party!

A Convenient Arrangement

Lady Helena Stanhope’s reputation is in tatters…and she’s lost any hope for a “respectable” ton marriage. An arranged union is the only solution. But once Helena weds formidable Scottish widower John Gordon, Lord Ardoch, and encounters his four mischievous children, she’s determined to help her new, ever-surprising family. Even if she’s sure love is too much to ask for.

All John needs is someone to mother his admittedly unruly brood. He never imagined that beautiful Lady Helena would be a woman of irresistible spirit, caring and warmth. Or that facing down their pasts would give them so much in common. Now, as danger threatens, John will do whatever it takes to convince Helena their future together—and his love—are for always.

    1. Empire waists hide a multitude of calories. That is one of the reasons I adore them.

  6. Oh, what a charming gathering. Lovely cover! And what a cunning pie that is. I'm simply perishing to know what's in it and how that beautiful crust was created.

  7. Congrats, Susie! Great party, Deb! Love these parties. And I love Scottish shortbread like you show in your image. Makes my mouth water. Did you know I have a clay mold for shortbread that comes out like the one you've pictured? Must be the Scotch side of me, eh. :)

    1. Hi Anita! Thanks for coming to the party! I love these parties, too. I, too, have a shortbread pan mold and I love it. I don't use it very often, though! I should--shortbread is wonderful.

      Have a good day, Anita!

    2. I had one too, Anita. And I always had trouble with it sticking. So frustrating! I paid 'good money' for that thing and I ended up giving it away. I just make plain old shortbread on a flat pan and it's yummy if not exquisite !
