So my five kiddos plus one exchange student from Brazil and myself went over to my mother in laws's- my husband was out of town- and I discovered crocheting again. But you put it so nicely when you said "maybe you are exactly where God wants you to be." That is so true. Thank you for giving me that beautiful reminder that there is a plan out there for all of us, even if it's not what we think it should be. I think that lately having a new found relationship has been the biggest thing that has gotten me out of my rut. The non-serious answer is I think I would love to be trapped in a house with Dina, my best friend Esther and my friend from church Julie. It would definitely be an interesting Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7502152359497137754.post-63664996934933268882010-10-11T14:16:16.583-04:002010-10-11T14:16:16.583-04:00Lisa, your book sounds wonderful! I've been in some incredible storms -- and hid under a matress during a tornado -- but that was close, Anita. ...Hey Lisa, talk about a roller coaster existence.

Here on the prairies, we face tornadoes. Usually they come up so fast, though, an evacuation isn't possible and all you can do is hide in your cellar/basement.

My only first-hand experience with a tornado was back in 95 when I was 7 months pregnant and woke at 5 am for the inevitable trip to the bathroom and happened to Anita Mae Draperhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16618699900826731377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7502152359497137754.post-18480036435796045402010-10-11T11:33:56.908-04:002010-10-11T11:33:56.908-04:00Even though I grew up most of my life in Oklahoma,...Even though I grew up most of my life in Oklahoma, I didn't experience many tornadoes. Book sounds great. I live in Virginia Beach, but in 18 years, we've never had a mandatory evacuation. I think two or three times they've evacuated just the homes within a few blocks of the beach. But those storms do have a way of slowing everything down. They are good neighborhood bonding times too.Dina Sleimanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05214446103057806111noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7502152359497137754.post-79124688786262314792010-10-11T08:14:14.109-04:002010-10-11T08:14:14.109-04:00Oh goodness, I shudder to think of being in a hous...Oh goodness, I shudder to think of being in a house without electricity for three days. My aunt recently moved to Texas, and we informed her that she needed to have an evacuation plan. She had no idea. gasweetheart211[at]netscape[dot]netadgehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12203810495930165894noreply@blogger.com
