A PROMISE ENGRAVED by Liz Tolsma, Reviewed by Paula Shreckhise, #ReleaseDay


A gripping tale of the battle of the Alamo using some real characters and fictional ones. A cat’s eye ring ties the past to the present as Kayleigh and Brandon search for the meaning of an inscription on the ring. Steeped in the history of Texas with all the danger of the battle for independence from Santa Anna, Ms. Tolsma weaves a possible scenario around an interesting artifact. Filled with facts from bygone days and a believable story of what might have happened, we see danger and connections both in the past and in the present, all the while with an underpinning of faith.

This makes me want to visit San Antonio and the Alamo. I am really enjoying these forays through The Doors To The Past.
