SISTERS OF THE ROCKIES #1
"Ants. The men looked like an army of ants crawling around in the valley below."
Men were everywhere. So many men. Who had thought that this was even a good idea? . . . approaching this "horde" of the male species in search of information about a woman who called herself "Steps Right". All difficulty aside, the Collins sisters had traversed cross-country to fulfill their beloved father's dying wish, to gift the mystery woman for having saved his life so many years ago. The pertinent question seems to be . . . who can they trust to help them?
"The last thing he needed was to take on the task of watching over a group of Easterners. And women were the very worst sort."
Riley Turner had been hunting and trapping in the territory around the Rocky Mountains for years, but he never expected to see four lovely unchaperoned young women show up at the rendezvous, where dozens, if not hundreds of men came to buy, sell, and trade. One of those ladies, her name was Juniper, had already tangled his dormant heart-strings into a right messy wad. Not good.

This author has such a lovely style;
relaxed but always moving forward, characters who reveal their innermost
thoughts at just the right times, scenery painted beautifully on the
canvas of one's imagination, inspirational elements with meaningful
application . . . and always . . . a little surprise or two popping
up along the way. What a wonderful introduction to new series.

BackCover Blurb:
In 1837, Juniper Collins and her sisters are shocked by their
father's deathbed request for them to return a special set of beads to a
Piegan Blackfoot woman he credits with saving his life during his
travels West. Together, the sisters set out for the trapper rendezvous
to find the woman, but their mission turns more daunting when they come
upon the mass of men and lodges spread out in the Green River Valley.
Riley Turner came West to find peace and quiet and live off the land, but when four unprotected women arrive at the rendezvous, he feels compelled to help them and is more fascinated by Juniper than any other woman he's known.
As their search brings only empty leads and dead ends, the sisters must decide whether to return East or stay in the mountains to continue looking--and that's if the mystery woman is even still alive. Is the risk to honor their father's last request worth the danger they find at every turn?
