DOORS THE THE PAST SERIES #Six
REBECCA'S REVIEW:
"Lucy Conroy had been at the Pinnacle of her profession. So what had happened?"
When nationally recognized mystery writer Chloe Whitfield arrives at the legendary winter residence of John and Mable Ringling in Sarasota, Florida for a writing retreat of sorts, she never imagined to be sidetracked by the story of her own great grandmother, Lucinda Conroy, a famed trapeze artist with the famous circus. Rumored to have stolen valuable property, then disappearing without a trace, Chloe found it difficult to believe that Lucinda's story had come to such an abrupt ending.
Using every resource that the archives of the historic residence had to offer, including the knowledge of one Dr. Ian Flanner, who was busy overseeing crucial renovations to the property, Chloe yields to her curiosity and begins to turn back the pages of history and ends up making a startling discovery; both personally and professionally.
The characters on both sides of these timelines are equally engaging, generating enough mystique to to celebrate the answer of exactly what happened to Lucinda Convoy. A well written addition to this series.

BackCover Blurb:
In 1936--A party at the Ringling mansion Ca d’Zan in Sarasota, Florida, leads to a robbery--and possibly death.
A successful historical mystery writer, Chloe Whitfield comes to Ca’ d’Zan to research her next novel. Chloe’s fascination with the circus is rooted in family stories of her great-grandmother Lucinda Conroy, who reportedly was a trapeze artist of some renown. She’s heard hints of scandal—and perhaps larceny, but no details.
Chloe’s grandmother—rumored to be Lucinda’s only offspring—was raised in an orphanage and never knew her mother. Intrigued as she is, Chloe has no intent of writing about Lucinda until she sees a poster featuring Lucinda as the star performer for a 70th birthday gala for John Ringling in May of 1936. From there the trail goes cold.
