ONE WRONG MOVE by Dani Pettrey, Reviewed by Rebecca Maney

One Wrong Move (Jeopardy Falls Book #1):
(A Private Investigator Thriller Romantic Suspense Set in Arizona)

"Whoever did this obviously had knowledge of the system . . . As far as I'm concerned, you're to blame."

Christian O'Brady's reputation as a security specialist is severely jeopardized when a southwestern art gallery is robbed of items worth nearly a million dollars. Joining Christian in the search for clues as to how the thieves circumvented his highly specialized system is insurance investigator Andi Forrester, a former F.B.I. forensics analyst whose career was ruined under suspicious circumstances. Apparently someone is intentionally playing games with both of them . . . leaving riddles . . . and bodies . . . behind.

"It Can Be Cruel, Or Blind. But When It's Denied, It's Violence You May Find."

Joining Christian and Andi on the search for answers are two more O'Brady family members, their professional colleague, and one of Andi's friends, Harper. Soon one case becomes two (as they delve into the evidence that ruined Andi's career) and the chemistry sizzling between the six of them is hot enough to cook several steaks on a grill. Meanwhile, more galleries are robbed and another body goes missing. "One wrong move" . . . and . . .

"God's will for our lives is a constant, but it doesn't mean He keeps us on a straight line. It's a walk of many hills and valleys."
If you finish this book and feel as if you have read two stories, you have. Typical of a first-in-a series with multiple characters, it took a considerable amount of concentration to keep everyone straight . . . and then . . . when the story ended, and I had everyone and their backstory comfortably in place, I wanted MORE time with them. Thank goodness, that is going to happen!

(PS - the answer is justice . . . )

BackCover Blurb:
Taunting riddles.
A deadly string of heists.
Two broken hearts trapped in a killer's game.

Christian O'Brady was pulled into a life of crime at a young age by his con artist parents. Now making amends for his corrupt past, he has become one of the country's foremost security experts. When a string of Southwestern art heists targets one of the galleries Christian secured, he is paired up with a gifted insurance investigator who has her own checkered past.

Andi Forester was a brilliant FBI forensic analyst until one of her colleagues destroyed her career, blaming her for mishandling evidence. She now puts those skills to work investigating insurance fraud, and this latest high-stakes case will test her gift to the limit. Drawn deep into a dangerous game with an opponent bent on revenge, Christian and Andi are in a race against the clock to catch him, but the perpetrator's game is far from finished, and one wrong move could be the death of them both.
