Small town newspaper front desk-er Lucy Montgomery has been living within safe, self-imposed boundaries for awhile now. And maybe at first it had been the wise thing to do to say "no", but lately life has been persistently tugging her in new directions. Much like the myriad of plants that serve as her personal cocoon, she isn't sure if her roots are deep enough to withstand the pressure. Hit the brakes or go with the flow? (and does an officer on wheels have anything to do with this?)
