REBECCA'S REVIEW:
"As a former New York Police Department detective before joining the FBI, she had a knack for spotting the signs that a crime was imminent."
Was rookie agent Kira Miller prepared for what happened next? Apparently her off-duty trip to view a priceless rabbit statue landed her squarely in the middle of an ongoing investigation which she was not a part of . . . until now. A little embarrassed about unknowingly poking her nose into someone else's territory, Kira agrees to join Special Agent Bryce Lambert's team, for he has been chasing after the ringleaders of an underground criminal network of fine art smugglers for years. In this case? Joining means going undercover as a newly married couple, pairing Kira's knowledge of Russian with Bryce's intelligence about potential key players. Can they play this high stakes game of deadly charades and come out on top? That remains to be seen.
The depth of character development in this romantic suspense is refreshing. The rapid movement of the plot doesn't over shadow the personal connection that readers will willingly form with Mira and Bryce. Using appropriate opportunities, Bryce openly shares his faith with Mira, while Mira encourages Bryce in all the ways that matter. Their partnership will be severely tested as they accelerate towards a climax which they didn't exactly see coming but were trained to navigate. Mostly.
I am already looking forward to the next book in the series!

Special Agent Kira Miller's new career at the FBI has started--in translations. It's not the opportunity she was hoping for to show off her skills, until she detects a lead in some paperwork. Now assigned an undercover role, she's in her element as she gathers intel on an art smuggling ring. She's daunted not by the mission but by her cover--posing as a married woman to the fake husband she met less than twenty-four hours earlier.
Special Agent Bryce Lambert's assignment to go undercover as a newlywed couple with Kira has the two of them moving next door to the prime suspects, and a relationship is the last thing he wants, fake or real. With secret auctions and hidden treasures, there's plenty to keep them busy--if only they can play the part their lives and careers depend upon while keeping their own hearts in check.
Romantic suspense novelists Lynette Eason and Kelly Underwood collaborate in this fast-paced, clean thriller delivering fake-dating tension, forced proximity, and FBI intrigue--perfect for fans of Elizabeth Goddard, Irene Hannon, Dani Pettrey, and edge-of-your-seat reads.
