Lady Helena Stanhope’s reputation is in tatters…and she’s lost any hope for a “respectable” ton marriage. An arranged union is the only solution. But once Helena weds formidable Scottish widower John Gordon, Lord Ardoch, and encounters his four mischievous children, she’s determined to help her new, ever-surprising family. Even if she’s sure love is too much to ask for.
All John needs is someone to mother his admittedly unruly brood. He never imagined that beautiful Lady Helena would be a woman of irresistible spirit, caring and warmth. Or that facing down their pasts would give them so much in common. Now, as danger threatens, John will do whatever it takes to convince Helena their future together—and his love—are for always.

ReplyDeleteThank you for the delightful party in John and Helena's honor, Deb! Your hair looks amazing. My hair did not cooperate so I have hidden it under a turban.
DeleteThanks for inviting me. I already am a subscriber to Susie's newsletter, I tweeted and I visited her Pinterest board. Yes. I can understand her GREAT attraction for Lord John!

ReplyDeleteHi Trisha! How wonderful to see you here! Enjoy the party! Thank you for coming! <3
DeleteHehehe. This party was delightful. I loved Susie's story!
ReplyDeleteHi Katherine! I'm so glad you came to the party! Thank you for your kind words about the book. <3 You're so sweet!
DeleteIf I keep eating scones (and seriously I did buy one today!) I'm going to need a bigger dress. Empire waist or not!
ReplyDeleteThanks Trisha and Kat!
Empire waists hide a multitude of calories. That is one of the reasons I adore them.
DeleteOh, what a charming gathering. Lovely cover! And what a cunning pie that is. I'm simply perishing to know what's in it and how that beautiful crust was created.
ReplyDeleteare you looking at the fancy shortbread or are you talking about the CUTIE PIE? :)
DeleteLOL Cutie pie!
DeleteThe tarts look delightful, too. Hmm, don't mind if I do.
Thank you, DeAnna! So glad you could attend the soiree!
Ah, I didn't realize it was shortbread. Makes perfect sense now. Lovely! And I don't mind the Cutie Pie in the least. ;)
DeleteCongrats, Susie! Great party, Deb! Love these parties. And I love Scottish shortbread like you show in your image. Makes my mouth water. Did you know I have a clay mold for shortbread that comes out like the one you've pictured? Must be the Scotch side of me, eh. :)
ReplyDeleteHi Anita! Thanks for coming to the party! I love these parties, too. I, too, have a shortbread pan mold and I love it. I don't use it very often, though! I should--shortbread is wonderful.
DeleteHave a good day, Anita!
I had one too, Anita. And I always had trouble with it sticking. So frustrating! I paid 'good money' for that thing and I ended up giving it away. I just make plain old shortbread on a flat pan and it's yummy if not exquisite !
DeleteLovely party! I simply adored this book!
ReplyDeleteHi Andrea! So glad you could attend the party! Thanks for your kind words about the book, too! <3
DeleteHow wonderful to see so many friendly faces!
ReplyDeleteFaces of friends...and Jonny Lee Miller!
