More interesting adventures of the Dunmara, Welling and Parker clans on beautiful Mackinac Island.

Ms. Pagels pulls you in with the scenic island and the dynamics of the various families and how they are connected.

I really enjoyed seeing this story through Rachel’s eyes and her compassion for her grandmother. She has been treated shabbily by her mother but has friends who stand up for her. She is also growing in her newfound faith.

The authors prose flows as we reconnect with characters from Butterfly Cottage. I love the renewed friendship of Rachel and Jack and their spiritual growth. You can see how God works in the lives of the characters.

This book is not short on intrigue and tension which is rounded out with the sweet romance. And I should not forget to mention the stunning cover! I am looking forward to visiting Mackinac again in other books by Ms. Pagels.
