Remembering the Rancher is a sweet Christmas story set in Redemption Ridge, a small town in Colorado. This is the third story I’ve read in this series and I’m enjoying getting to know the town and its residents!
This story is about Mav and Bella, a married couple on the brink of divorce. Bella gets amnesia after an accident so, for her, their marriage never happened. In her mind, she’s still a teenager with a crush on Mav. Usually, I struggle with broken marriage stories and amnesia stories are not my favorite, but this one really worked for me. I thought I knew what was going to happen, but I was completely wrong and I’m so glad! I loved the sweetness of Mav and Bella’s relationship and the theme that God works in our lives even when it may seem like He is not.
Remembering the Rancher is my first read by Liwen Y. Ho. I will definitely be looking into her back list! Remembering the Rancher is a part of the new Christmas in Redemption Ridge series. It can easily be read as a standalone.
