CAN'T BUY ME LOVE (Series #2) by Andrea Christenson and Susan May Warren
"Apparently there's something magical about elevators that makes us spill all our secrets."
Love in an elevator . . . nope, not a song lyric . . . but it's exactly what happened to Ella Bradley and Adrian Roger Vasso "a thousand miles above ground" . . .  although they didn't know it yet. Ella was attending the Bear Creek Resorts stockholders gala hoping to pitch her organic cleaning products to the head of the company, Costas Vassos (although her pitiful one-half of a share in the company might not have been worth the ridiculous stilettos now gracing her feet), when she and her very handsome elevator-mate hit the pause button . . . or rather, the elevator hit it for them.

And as they say, the rest is history. Or in this case, a very good story with a myriad of entertaining twists and turns (like "Roger" showing up in Deep Haven in the same courtroom as Ella . . . what????) and ultimately some life changing decisions . . . like learning that God is a refuge and strength . . . a very present (emphasis on present) help in times of trouble (because Ella has plenty of trouble going on).

"He knew what he wanted. And it wasn't something money could buy. Hopefully he one more chance to get this right."

A delightful, romantic return to one of readers' favorite places on planet earth . . . Deep Haven, Minnesota.

CRAZY FOR YOU (Series #3)
by Michelle Aleckson and Susan May Warren
"He wants to be your safe place when everything is falling apart."
Have you ever played the game "red light, green light"? This story, featuring a very strong, capable, independent woman (Veronica "Ronnie" Morales) and a tough, tender, peacemaking man (Peter Dahlquist), felt like a satisfying combination of acceleration and deceleration around every slope and curve.

Ronnie was a controversial figure in the tight-knit Deep Haven community to begin with, coming in as an "outsider", accepting a coveted position on the new Crisis Response Team as a paramedic, meaning someone local had not been offered the job. And maybe, sort of, she came across a little bit too much former-military when she met her partner, Fire Chief Peter Dahlquist for the first time. Ronnie was in Deep Haven to make a new start with her young brother, and Peter was determined to keep all of his family members (who were too numerous to count) satisfied with his decisions . . .  wait! . . . there's a third light in the game . . . caution, caution!

Entertaining and fun with some noteworthy life lessons sprinkled in among the . . . kisses?

CAN'T BUY ME LOVE BACK COVER BLURB:
She’s not looking for love…

Housekeeper-slash-entrepreneur Ella Bradley prides herself on being ready for anything. After all, with a father who died—and lied to her—and a stepmom and stepsister who despise her, she has no one else to depend on. But on the biggest night of her life, she’s unprepared to be trapped in an elevator with the man of her dreams.

He doesn’t mean to lie…

Wealthy prince-to-a-fortune Adrian Vassos wants nothing more than to shed his reputation as a party boy and prove that he is a savvy businessman. Even, a gentleman. But when he’s trapped with a woman who knows his reputation but not his face, he gives into the temptation to be someone else—and lies.

A disastrous beginning leads to a fresh start…

When serendipity brings them together again—this time to work off community service—can their combined sentences spark a new ending? Maybe…if Adrian’s lies don’t find him out. Again.

The magic of Deep Haven enchants in this modern-day Cinderella story.

CRAZY FOR YOU BACK COVER BLURB:

She’s doesn’t want any trouble…

Former soldier Veronica “Ronnie” Morales isn’t going to let her kid brother, Tiago, get pulled into the gangs of Minneapolis, so, seeking safety and a fresh start, she heads to sleepy Deep Haven on the north shore of Minnesota. She’s hoping to put down roots as the paramedic for the new Crisis Response Team, but it’s not easy to be the outsider.

He can’t seem to escape it…

It’s also not easy being the guy related to everyone in town. Especially when you’re the holdout vote for a landmark project. Fire Chief Peter Dahlquist might be the loneliest guy in town when both sides of his massive family—the Hatfields and McCoys of Deep Haven—demand that he pick sides. The only one who seems to understand is the newcomer in town…his new, albeit street-tough paramedic.

Can trouble bring them together?

When Tiago finds himself caught up in small town shenanigans and the town blames Ronnie for tragedy, Peter is forced to pick sides. But this choice just might cost him the home—and the woman—he loves.
