by Dina Sleiman
In need of a little Sunday morning inspiration. Enjoy a lovely worship dance choreographed by my daughter, Christi Sleiman, to "On My Bones." This piece has special meaning to me because I performed it at a time of great struggle in my life, and the words touched me deeply.
(Sorry guys, had to remove actual video so that it wouldn't interrupt other posts this week. Here is the link: http://www.godtube.com/watch/?v=9J122MNU )
Has this world been hard on you? Has God strengthened you and provided life? Which part of this song do you relate to?
That was really lovely, Dina. Kind of Martha Graham meets the Holy Spirit. :) So beautiful.ReplyDelete
Thank you, Dina. Dance worship is a beautiful extension of hearts pouring our to God. I love it.ReplyDelete
Very beautiful, Dina. Thank you so much for sharing it with us this morning. I love it. God has most definitely strengthened me through the tough times. It always seems he strengthens me through a combination of prayer and music.ReplyDelete
Martha Graham meets the Holy Spirit is quite a compliment. I'll pass it along to my daughter :)ReplyDelete
Anita, I like to think of all life as worship. Ultimately, everything we do should be with an attitude of praise, thanksgiving, and offering to God.ReplyDelete
Yes, music does something deep inside of us, Suzie.ReplyDelete
Watching this today made me doubly excited that Christi is going to be my cover model for Dance of the Dandelion. She will actually be in some sort of worship dance pose on the cover. She has long blond hair and is in pink. I'm the tall one in purple with blond hair.ReplyDelete
Beautiful. Touching. Many memories of the times God has brought me through in times when I have been battle weary emotionally, spiritually, and physically. Thank you for sharing this.ReplyDelete
Thanks, Carla. I love when the song shifts to the part about God being life to our bones. As we danced this, I could feel his anointing so strongly during that portion.ReplyDelete
Lovely, Dina. What a moving piece. What a gift music is.ReplyDelete
It's so exciting that Christi will be the cover model on your book! What a joy to your entire family!
Thanks for the blessing today.
What a beautiful break in my day. I'm glad you shared this with us, Dina.ReplyDelete
I've never heard this song before. Did you share the title and performer?
I hope it stays with us all through the week to come.
The singer is Kendall Payne and the song is "On My Bones." Thanks Deb and Susanne. I'm glad everyone enjoyed my little last minute offering.ReplyDelete
