The only nearby brick and mortar bookstore is Barnes & Noble, so that woud have to be my favorite. There is and indy bookstore downtown but it is incredibly congested in that area and parking is a nightmare. We do have a Half Price Books, but I don’t think that counts.

It used to be a treat for me to visit a Borders book store (which meant a 'trip to the city') and then they went out of business. I used to allow myself one new paperback a month WITH coupon! Now I only seem to read on my kindle, plus I much prefer audiobooks. Half PRice Books sounds great, Perrianne! Thanks for commenting!

I've just figured out that because we have an Ollie's Discount store within 20 miles, I can likely find some nice deals there. but it's a shame I'm pretty sure that's closeout of publisher's stock so authors don't really benefit. However, we get to read them and share by word-of-mouth.

Thanks for commenting, Elma! I recall a used bookstore that I frequented. The owner never turned down books and the store was tiny. The stacks were dangerous and I don't know how she even got to her desk!

Thanks Patty! That is a really great name for a bookstore. One of my favorites was in Rockport MA but they've since closed. It's TOAD HALL and was just as cute as you'd expect!
