NICOLE COOK'S Top Ten (or so) Reads of 2021 (with #Giveaway!)

When reflecting on the books I read during 2021, my reasons for choosing my favorites remain the same as in previous years: wonderful characters who remain with me long after the final page, the ability to make me experience deep emotions, and powerful messages of hope and grace that draw me deeper to my faith. My favorite genres are romantic suspense, contemporary romance, and time-slip/dual timeline novels, but I also have a few historical authors on my must-read list throughout the year. Hope you find some new favorite books to add to your TBR list this holiday season!

As a special gift to our Inkwell readers, we will be giving away one brand-new paperback copy of The Secret Keepers of Old Depot Grocery by Amanda Cox, which is one of the books on my Top Ten List.

  1. I don’t normally make a list of my top braids, but could certainly go back on Goodreads and make a list of all the five star books I read. I am pretty generous in my star rating so I’m sure I have more than 10 five star reviews out of the 70 so it books I read this year.

  3. I’ve never made a list of the top 10. That would be hard for me to do as every book I read is a good book. 😁

  5. I usually have a favorite book that lasts a really long time and then it might get bumped out of the favorite position for the next really great read. But nothing by year. So many wonderful books though. I'm so thankful for all the authors who inspire us. Wishing each one blessed in the coming New Year!

  8. I usually do pick some "top" reads...it always ends up making for quite a long list though, lol!

Nicole, that series by Elizabeth Camden is one I hope to get to in 2022. I love her writing!
