ROAST DATE By Heather Gilbert, Reviewed by Rebecca Maney

BARKS & BEANS CAFE Cozy Mystery #7

"I think she's dead."

A holiday book club meeting turns . . . deadly? (who would thought eggnog could be a weapon?) That's exactly what appears to have happened, and Macy Hatfield is determined that their hostess, her sweet next-door-neighbor Vera, had nothing whatsoever to do with the local mayor's demise. But it didn't look good, especially when curious circumstantial evidence links Vera to a second victim.
Join Macy and her brother Bo as they not only take care of each other, and their thriving Barks and Beans Cafe, but work hard to take care of their neighbors . . . even if one of them turns out to be a murderer.

These are absolutely the best cozies. Simply puzzling and brilliantly plotted . . . as always!!! (plus there's a nip of love in the air this Christmas!!!)
*I purchased this book and was under no obligation to provide a positive review. 3.5 stars
