2018's Reviewer Favorites Part Two!

Part Two today... favorites from Rebecca, Susan and Kim!

Since my Top Three and Top Ten books of 2018 have already been mentioned in other locations, allow me to choose which of those stories surprised me the most; in other words I expected to read a good book and the story turned out to be nothing short of amazing.

"The Mark of the Raven" by Morgan Busse - Admittedly, I rarely read fantasy; ever. So you can imagine my surprise when the story line of this book took me into the kinds of realms unknown that absolutely fascinated me. At the same time, the deep spiritual undertones were perfectly clear. It's no wonder that I loved it.

"The Solace of Water" by Elizabeth Younts - This kind of story crosses so many lines; prejudice, grief, alcoholism, to name a few. It's deep, it's thought provoking, it's memorable, it's brilliant . . . . and I didn't see it coming.

"Ghost Heart" by Lisa Harris and Lynne Gentry - Every time someone has asked me to name my favorite book of 2018, "Ghost Heart" has popped out. I've said it before and I will say it again, this book checked off all the necessary categories for a great book with ease. I turned the first page thinking that I would be reading another good suspense novel,  well . . . you will just have to read it for yourself.

  1. This was a lot of fun to pull together. While we don't all have the same tastes, it's pretty clear that some authors just wowed us all! Thanks so much to our reviewers!
