Edison 1898 Sleighing Video

It's January, winter, and I'm working on a Christmas story so it's only natural that I'm thinking of sleigh bells jingling as my hero and heroine travel about. So, while doing my research, when I found this 1898 Edison Film Company video of horse-drawn sleigh rides in Central Park, New York, I thought the least I could do was share it with you.

If the video doesn't work below, you can view it at the Library of Congress

  1. There's something so fascinating about old movies. We often are trying to place ourselves in these early decades in our stories, so it's fun to see real Edwardians MOVING instead of in photos. Thanks for sharing this!
