Death Valley Double Cross is a perfect example of why Dana Mentink is one of my favorite authors. Her stories always grab me from the first page and keep me completely immersed until the very last word. I’ve been looking forward to Austin’s story for awhile and it did not disappoint!
This second chance romantic suspense had everything I was looking for! The action is perfectly paced - not too much to make it unrealistic, but not too little either. I loved how all of Austin’s family stuck by him when Pilar came back into his life after she dumped him at the alter, and how they slowly warmed up to her and forgave her for what she did to Austin. I also loved the theme of second chances, forgiveness and grace. Excellent story!
*I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own. The faith thread is light.
