AT FIRST GLANCE by Susan Tuttle, Reviewed by Kim

I have heard so many good things about this story that I’m not sure why I waited so long to read it. At First Glance is a wonderful deeply layered story that will make you feel so invested in the characters. There are ones you will completely love - Hello, Jonah! - ones you might struggle with a bit - I’m looking at you, Penny! - and ones you will totally dislike - a lot!
Jonah is my favorite character from this story. What he does for his sister and nephew - amazing. And what he does for Penny? Well, you’ll just have to read it to find out. šŸ˜‰ But, I will say I loved when they were together! Their dialogue was wonderfully written. And, speaking of Penny, I wanted to hug her half the time and the other half, I might have been yelling at her just a bit.

But, one of the biggest things I loved about this story is how it shows us that even if we don’t like it when people judge us for something, we might turn around and do the same thing to others without even blinking an eye! This story will make me think twice before I make a judgement about someone.
*I purchased this story and was under no obligation to review it.

BackCover Blurb:
Estate planner Penny Thornton loves dusting off items others gloss over, especially since she relates to feeling tossed aside for the "bright and shiny." When her younger sister's approaching wedding launches Penny back into the throes of her dysfunctional family, she decides to use the festivities to close the gap in their relationships even if it means appeasing them and finally losing the few pounds they've hounded her about for years.

But she doesn't expect to meet two very different men in the process: East Fisher, the personal trainer who personifies everything she believes she could never attain, and Jonah Black, a man who reminds her so much of herself. Both men are more than they appear at first glance, and each seems interested in her romantically.

As Penny uncovers their hidden layers, she discovers when it comes to love and matters of the heart, she's got a lot to learn about estimating value.
