AUTHOR SHAREE STOVER! |
Nicole: I am thrilled to have author Sharee Stover join us today at Inkwell Inspirations to discuss her latest Love Inspired Suspense novel, Silent Night Suspect. This novel releases on December 3rd, so Silent Night Suspect would be the perfect stocking stuffer for your favorite avid reader this holiday season! Sharee, thank you so much for joining us today!
REVIEWER NICOLE COOK |
Sharee: Thank you so much for having me, Nicole! And I agree! Silent Night Suspect would make a perfect stocking stuffer.
Nicole: Silent Night Suspect incorporates two of the aspects I love seeing featured in inspirational fiction… romance, and of course, the fast-paced, action-filled suspense. What message or inspiration do you hope that people will get from reading Silent Night Suspect?
Sharee: The greatest message is that God’s grace and mercy reach beyond our comprehension. He gives us second, third, fourth and sometimes even more chances when we come to Him. There’s nothing too hard for Him. The second is that forgiving someone can be the most freeing action we will ever take. Forgiveness doesn’t excuse bad behavior, but it frees us to let go and hand over everything to God, trusting in His perfect justice.
See Nicole's and Paula's review of SILENT NIGHT SUSPECTNicole: I know there are many aspiring authors who wish to become published authors someday. Could you share with us a little about your writing journey and any advice you have for aspiring authors?
Sharee: My writing journey began with the desire to write devotionals and developed into fiction writing. It’s truly a journey and everyone’s path is different and unique. So, my first piece of advice is don’t compare yourself or your writing journey to anyone else’s. Comparisons will kill your joy. Trust that God is leading you where He wants you and that the message you have to share is a gift from Him. The second is never give up and never give in (to doubt and condemnation). Writing is hard and there will be days when you’ll want to throw in the keyboard. Don’t! Take a break then keep going. You cannot edit a blank page so even if it’s terrible, awful writing, it’s still editable words.
Nicole: I am eager to read more of your romantic suspense novels in the future. Could you share with us any information about your future releases and/or your current work in progress?
Sharee: I am currently working on the second book of my first three-book series. It’s in the very early stages, so please stay tuned for more details! The first book in the series, Untraceable Evidence, releases May 2020.
Nicole: I am a huge fan of romantic suspense, so I was ecstatic to discover your books through Rachel Dylan’s launch team, who is one of my favorite romantic suspense authors. I also love reading romantic suspense novels by Lynette Eason, Lynn H. Blackburn, and Irene Hannon. Who are some of your favorite authors that you would love to recommend to our readers?
Sharee: OOOh all of those brilliant ladies are also my favorites! Terri Blackstock is another author that I absolutely love reading. And because I read across most genres, I love Julie Cantrell, Denise Hunter, Vannetta Chapman, Rachel Hauck, and Mary Connealy too. I also have many favorites in Love Inspired Suspense so just to name a few, Maggie K. Black, Lisa Harris, Jordyn Redwood and Laura Scott.
Nicole: Denise Hunter and Rachel Hauck are favorites of mine too! I definitely have some new authors to try out now. Sharee, thank you again for joining us today! This has been a pleasure to chat with you!
Sharee: Thank you so much for the opportunity to be here today.
