Considering the questionable details surrounding the untimely death of her Navy SEAL husband, Elise Oliver had begun to look over her shoulder, having found the kind of evidence that someone would very likely kill to retrieve. Barely escaping a brutal home invasion, she fled to the only person who felt like a safe place; her husband's best friend and former Navy SEAL, Colton Locke.

Shocked to see Elise again, Colton Locke is terribly disturbed by the events that have driven her to seek refuge in Lantern Beach. Instinctively wanting to protect her, he and the others members of his elite security team sort through the evidence that Elise has risked her life to protect. It's time to make sure that Elise doesn't go anywhere on the island by herself, and Colton figures that he is just the man to stay by her side . . . . even when the waters darken.

Such a fun story to read!!!! 3.5 stars
